Night Lights
By Peace Nick Mann

Here I sit in a field of darkness.
Much time has passed since the light has.
Ivory diamond stars hurtle towards me
Like the lost souls of a poltergeist.
They growl, hiss, roar and whisper as they come.
I cannot look at them or they blind me.
They rush past me and slowly quiet down.
They anger and become bloody amber eyes,
Glaring at me for daring to be here.
I sit and wait but they keep flashing by.
Finally one of the angry eyes stop.
I walk towards it and some bright lights appear.
And its slowly coming towards me.
Then a strange voice Ive never heard says,
Hey there, where ya headed , boy?
